China was Father Octave Ferreux’ passion, and writing The History of the Congregation of the Mission in China (1699 - 1950) his crowning achievement. He spent forty-nine years in his beloved China, which he served faithfully as an apostle of the Good News. He would have continued in China to the end of his days had he not been expelled in 1951 along with many other missionaries. Nevertheless, his love and memories of China burned steadily in his heart until his death in Paris in 1963.
