Birgit Oberhofer is a focolarina from Germany who has lived in various parts of the US for almost 15 years. She currently lives at Mariapolis Luminosa, the Focolare’s little city, and is one of the Coordinators of the Youth Center for North America (YCNA). She has a degree in pedagogy/science of education from Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in Germany and a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Ministry with concentration in Spiritual Direction from St. John’s School of Theology and Seminary in Collegeville, MN. Her experience is in project management, campus ministry and Spiritual
Direction. She enjoys accompanying young people on their life’s journey and looks forward to giving a contribution to the mission of YCNA. Besides reading mystery novels, Birgit likes to hike, bike, walk, swim and everything outdoors.
