Welcome to the “Children of Abraham: How Are We Getting Along?” issue. It isn’t often that we take a moment to consider what the three large Abrahamic traditions share in common. We do that here, at the time of year when our three festivals – Passover, Holy Week/Easter, and Ramadan – tend to overlap. May this year find many Jews learning about Holy Week from Christian friends. May many Christians be invited to Jewish homes for the Passover Seder. And may Muslims teach us all about self-discipline and empathy, two virtues that are reflected throughout the season of Ramadan.
